Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and the American Cancer Society invite women struggling through cancer—the diagnosis, treatment, and concerns about their appearance—to Look Good…Feel Better®.
A free seminar offering help and encouragement in coping with the side effects of cancer treatment, Look Good…Feel Better will be held from 5:30pm until 7pm in Memorial’s Shearman Conference Center, 1701 Oak Park Boulevard.
Specially trained beauty professionalsoffer practical tips about skin care, makeup techniques, and guidance for coping with hair loss. The program also offers a sense of community where women are taught what to expect and how to deal with their appearance changes.
Since 1989, Look Good…Feel Better has helped improve the quality of life of 550,000 cancer survivors through its free services, which include group programs; one-on-one consultations; self-help materials; and a Web site, www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org.
